Jewish Point (Tel Aviv synagogue): 28 donations at ₪99.14, ₪7,000 raised, 152% ROMI
Updated:
The task
Raise donations to open a Russian-speaking synagogue in Tel Aviv (the Jewish Point project). The non-profit segment is an unusual task for performance advertising: a person is not paying for a product or service but donating money, and convincing them to do so with cold traffic is harder than driving a regular purchase. The campaign was judged on direct ROMI: how many shekels in donations each shekel invested in ads brought.
What we did
Launched targeted ads to collect donations. Tracked not leads and clicks but actual transactions — the number of donations and the amount raised — to calculate the campaign’s honest unit economics.
Results
- Ad budget — ₪2,776
- Donations — 28
- Cost per donation — ₪99.14
- Donations raised — ₪7,000
- ROMI — 152% (₪7,000 ÷ ₪2,776)
Insights
The average donation is ₪250 (₪7,000 / 28) at an acquisition cost of ₪99.14: each donor brought 2.5 times more than it cost to acquire them. 152% ROMI means the campaign paid back on direct donations alone — a rare result for non-profits, where paid traffic is usually treated as an expense line, not a channel with positive return. The conclusion: fundraising can be run as a performance campaign with transparent economics — paying for transactions, not for reach.
