Online course for dental clinic owners: 1,448 leads at $1.74, 324% ROMI, $2,521 budget

The situation and the task
An online school for dental clinic management was launching the fifth cohort of its flagship course. Ticket size — $1,700 to $4,200, average check on the previous cohort $1,500. Earlier launches ran mostly on the school’s own base and the expert’s followers, and that base was running dry. They needed cold traffic: about 2,000 people in the funnel by mid-November, targeting $2.20 per lead with a $3.80 ceiling.
The audience is narrow: an owner or co-owner of a 3–5 chair clinic in a city of 100,000+, aged 30–35+, and in four cases out of ten still treating patients themselves. The pains are specific: routine eats up time, seeing patients does not mix with running the business, staff resist changes, the business is not digitized. They were taught to fix teeth, not to run a company.
What we did
- A lead-magnet funnel instead of a webinar funnel. Ad → landing page → Telegram bot that delivers a 40-minute video on how to bring a dental clinic to a target revenue. At the end of the video — a call to fill in the course pre-registration form. Those who filled it in were added to a closed Telegram channel and warmed up for 10–14 days; some bought during the warm-up, the rest were invited to the course presentation.
- Expertise as the core of the creatives. The expert had a hard, measurable result: a 9-chair clinic doing $200,000 a month. That fact and the path to it became the basis of the angles. For clinic owners this is a clear point B, and such a speaker is trusted.
- Targeting from the persona, not from the “dentistry” interest. The brief gave a precise portrait: a regional clinic owner with pains about routine, hiring, and combining practice with management. The creatives hit those situations, so the form was filled in by owners, not patients or employed dentists.

Insights
- A strong lead magnet changes the economics of a narrow niche. There are few dental clinic owners and they are expensive to reach, yet a 40-minute video with real value delivered a lead at $1.74 and 324% ROMI without pushing the bid.
- Expertise has to be readable from the creative in a second. A specific number from the speaker’s own result works better than any course promises.
- The sharper the audience portrait in the brief, the cheaper the lead. Angles built on the owner’s real situations (routine, practice plus management, hiring) filter out the non-target audience by themselves.
